Signature Social Events — three tools into one system

The challenge

Mel runs Signature Social Events — beautifully styled DIY party kits for birthdays, hens nights, paint-and-sips and celebrations. The product photographs gorgeously, but the business was being run across three disconnected tools: a Squarespace site that didn’t do the brand justice, Mailchimp for emails, and a spreadsheet holding everything together by hand.

That’s a lot of admin for one person, and none of it showed off how good the kits actually look. The brand deserved a single, polished home.

The approach

One joined-up system instead of three tools fighting each other. Get the brand right first — because for a product this visual, the look is the sell — then build the storefront and the enquiry flow around how customers actually buy a party kit.

What I built

  • Brand build — a soft, blush-watercolour identity that finally matches the product. “Beautifully styled kits for unforgettable celebrations” — the site feels like the kits look.
  • Kit storefront — clean product cards for the launch range (bachelorette, paint & sip, kids), organised so a customer can find the right kit and know what’s included before they ask.
  • Quote / enquiry flow — a simple path from “I love this” to “here’s what I need,” so enquiries come in structured instead of scattered across DMs and email.
  • Email setup — reliable enquiry delivery wired to the business inbox, replacing the Mailchimp-and-spreadsheet shuffle.
  • Built on the fast stack — same Astro foundation as the rest of our work: quick on mobile, easy to extend as the range grows.

The result

One place to run the business instead of three. The brand now looks as considered as the kits, enquiries arrive structured and ready to action, and the storefront is built to grow as Mel adds new kits and, later, event services.

“Matt helped turn a big collection of ideas into a proper business plan and operating setup — brand direction, packages, pricing, the booking process, automations, and the practical steps to launch. He’s very good at seeing the bigger picture while also getting into the detail, which made everything feel less overwhelming and far more achievable.”

The lesson for any small product business: you don’t need more tools, you need them to be one system.
